incognito contest, Tongarino National Park, New Zealand I am on a day-hike, considered to be one of the best in its country. It is located in a national park that was established in 1887 as only the fourth worldwide. It was the first park in the world to be created by a gift of land by indigenous people; therefore the mountains have deep spiritual significance symbolizing the spiritual links between its community and its environment. In 1993, it became the first property to be inscribed on the World Heritage List for cultural landscapes.

The park has active and extinct volcanoes and a diverse range of ecosystems from herb fields to forests to vibrant emerald lakes to desert-like plateaus. It is located in the Northern region of its country in the southwestern Pacific Ocean. It is only a few kilometers southwest of the largest lake in the region and is situated in a temperate zone with an average temperature of 13 degrees Celsius with a maximum of 25 degrees C in the summer.

The main activities here are hiking and climbing in the summer and skiing and snowboarding in the winter. The most popular hike is a two to four day tour; however one-day hiking trails are also available. The area is well developed for tourism with three campsites, two emergency shelters, nine public and four private huts located throughout the park.

Do you know where I am?
