About Us
Christina Kay Bolton, Publisher & Editor-in-Chief
Christina became a full-fledged world traveler at the age of 26 when she traveled for a year on her own. Her eyes were opened wide when she took a flight to Pakistan, and then moved slowly across India by train and across Nepal by raft and by foot. She quickly adapted to the travelers lifestyle and decided she wanted to see the entire world in this way, not on a standard package tour where all sense of adventure and discovery is missing and one rarely speaks to the people living in the country.
For Christina, there’s no greater excitement than ‘undiscovered’ destinations. Her style has developed from ‘arrive in a county with no plans and nowhere to stay’ to thoroughly planned seamless journeys that still provide an abundance of surprises. She blends a range of different experiences in one trip from staying in a hostel one night and a boutique hotel the next, to trekking through the mountains, exploring cities, and lying on the beach.
Christina’s love of travel, photography, and writing have led her to create inTravel Magazine™. She realized that she read all sorts of travel magazines, but craved more authentic travel stories where the amazing, the unbelievable and the hilarious experiences are all shared in well written articles with beautiful pictures. So, with a sense of openness toward finding what was missing she began inTravel Magazine™ and hopes it serves its audience well and becomes their abode in the travel world.
Sasha Keeler Didier, Assistant Editor
At a young age, Sasha had a wide curiosity for travel. After watching slideshows of her grandmother's safari trips to Kenya and listening to her grandfather's stories of time spent in Thailand, she was overwhelmed and excited by all of the places to experience. She developed a love for monkeys, lions, and all exotic animals she would see pictures of in National Geographic, and aspired to become like Jane Goodall and help save the wildlife.
Sasha’s first overseas trip was at 15, when she went on a class trip to France. At 16, she traveled with her school's concert choir to Italy, singing in small cathedrals, and at the Vatican for the Pope. These experiences increased Sasha’s artistic realization and opened her eyes to the diverse beauty of language, culture, and music. Her thirst for travel had become unquenchable.
During her college years at the University of New Hampshire, Sasha became involved with her school's literary magazine: Aegis, where she was an editor as well as the business manager. In 2001, she was accepted into the Cambridge program offered at UNH and spent the summer studying travel writing at Cambridge University. As an English major she focused on prose writing and also pursued a minor in Fine Arts.
Sasha then discovered the BUNAC program and decided to live and work in New Zealand. She backpacked and traveled throughout the country, working various jobs in resorts, vineyards, hostels, and restaurants. Sasha’s knack for photography developed even further during her travels. It was then that she realized her career goal would involve traveling, writing, and photography as a way of educating and inspiring others to explore the world. After 10 months abroad, Sasha returned to New England to pursue her career.
